Children’s Ministry

Our Children’s Ministry encompasses

children from the Nursery-5th grade

Our Children’s ministries have relaunched in-person! They will be meeting in the Fellowship Hall starting at 9:00am on Sunday mornings.

SPKidz Nursery

Our nursery is for newborns – Kindergarten! Our nursery is open Sunday mornings and during special events. We have one of our SPKidz Assistants, usually Ari Ringer, in the nursery plus at least two adults to assist as needed.

SPKidz Assistants

Our SPKidz Assistants have been screened and are certified in child and infant CPR and First Aid. They do various roles within our children’s ministries in the SPKidz Nursery, SPKidz Church and also with iCLUB. Each has had experience working with younger children in a variety of situations and their experience has proven invaluable in this role.

SPKidz

As your child progresses through their elementary school years, more opportunities exist for their participation in our church. Your child may have the opportunity to be an Acolyte on Sunday mornings. We have a children’s sermon every Sunday except the first Sunday of the month and we offer SPKidz Church during the adult service for our younger Christians from Kindergarten (if parents prefer them not to be in the nursery) through 3rd/4th grade until church ends. This includes Bible lessons, interactive activities and games!

SPKidz iCLUB

iClub is a relatively new and unique transition ministry for our children in their later elementary years. While the exact age that a child enters iCLUB is flexible (but generally 4th through 6th grade years) their time in iCLUB will provide a hands on experience in activities/games which have a direct connection to the scriptures and lessons presented. During this developmental period, many will experience Confirmation Class, transition into Middle School and transition into the SPYouth Ministry. Being developmental, the exact time that a child enters and exits the iCLUB group will be determined through the observation and judgement of the Coordinator for Children & Youth Ministry. Some continue in iCLUB through their first several months of SPYouth to smooth the transition.
