Where Can I Serve?
Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. St. Paul’s members are involved in a variety of ministries in our community from serving meals at the Interfaith Emergency Shelter to supporting the Open Arms Village at St. Mark’s UMC in Ocala.
2021 Mission Emphases
St. Paul’s UMC, following our Methodist Heritage, feels that social missions and charity are an integral part of our identity as a Christian church. It also follows Jesus’s “Great Commandment” to love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your being, and with all your mind as well as love your neighbor as you love yourself in Matthew 22:34-40.
During 2021, as we recover from the COVID-19 Pandemic and recognize the help that is needed throughout our local area, we wanted to help local ministry organizations that are doing God’s work in our community, even if the organizations aren’t technically “Christian.” Each month of 2021, except for June and August, we’re collecting items needed by local organizations for their mission to help people. In addition to the mission work being done within other church ministries, we’ll be helping the following local organizations:
