Welcome to Saint Paul’s!

St. Paul’s is a different kind of church.  We’re not a large megachurch with a sound stage and a suped-up production machine, but we strive to be a church full of authentic followers of Jesus.  No matter how you come to visit us, we pray you’ll find clear examples of God’s love, whether through us or through our ministries – but hopefully both!

You might be excited about finding a church to belong to, or you might be a bit fearful from bad church experiences in the past. Either way, if you are looking for a church that focuses on creating spiritual fruits, not religious nuts, then you have come to the right place!

I hope the information on this website will help you get to know us, whether you’re an online or in-person visitor. Feel free to email me if you have any further questions that are not covered here.

Our Mission statement at St. Paul’s says a lot about who we are and what we do:

As a Christian family of faith,
Saint Paul’s affirms God’s love by
transforming lives,
connecting generations,
impacting our community & world,
and
making disciples for Jesus Christ.

Bread or Manna?

Happy Seventh Sunday after Epiphany!

During this season on the church calendar we’re looking at some of the miracle stories of the Gospels: And how Jesus turned water into wine in our everyday lives, turning the normal, tap water of our lives and transforming it into wine – rich, tasty and eternal life.  On Sunday we are still in the Gospel of John and we’ll be looking at the Feeding of the 5,000 through two sets of eyes:

The eyes of the world (the crowd)

The eyes of faith (Jesus)

We’ll see Jesus taking Bread and fish and miraculously feeding a multitude…but is it really bread?  And how can we avoid mistaking the gifts of Jesus as less than what they are?

But Wait…There’s More!

Happy Sixth Sunday after Epiphany!

During this season on the church calendar, we’re looking at some of the miracle stories and signs of the Gospels, and studying how Jesus takes the normal, tap water of our lives and transforms it into wine – the rich, tasty and eternal wine of a life with him at the center.

Today we’ll read an interesting story of healing from the Gospel of John and see how Jesus takes the ordinary and, with God’s touch, makes it extraordinary and eternal.  What we’re seeing here is not just what people wanted and expected – a miraculous healing – but so much more.  How can we see Jesus as not just a purveyor of spiritual trinkets and wise sayings, but as our Lord and Savior?  It all lies in the power of words…

Missing Out…

Happy Fifth Sunday after Epiphany!

As we worship this coming Sunday, we’ll meditate on and study one of the more famous miracles of Jesus: turning water into wine at a wedding in Cana or Galilee.  It was at this wedding party in John 2:1-12 that Jesus “came out” and began his public ministry, and cemented his status with his Disciples.  But while it’s all well and good that Jesus did something miraculous, what exactly does this miracle mean for us today?  Maybe we’re like the wedding guests, and missing out on the true miracle among us.

Let’s worship and meditate on the true miracle as we gather on Sunday.  I’ll see you then!
