Why Thanksgiving and Generosity Go Together

Happy Christ the King & Thanksgiving Sunday!

On Sunday we’re continuing our series on gratitude as a spiritual discipline, and we’ looking at the link between gratitude and generosity.  We’ll read the ninth chapter of Paul’s Second Letter to the Corinthians and the story of Jesus and the rich man from Mark chapter 10.  As we study and worship, we’ll see that God doesn’t just want to bless us so we can meet our own needs, but he does it so we can meet the needs of others. As we give generously in Jesus’ name, the recipients thank God, not us.  And that is where the miraculous work happens, because that is where God continues to break into our world, just like God did long ago when Jesus was born.

Sunday’s Online Service—If you log in to your Google/YouTube account about 10-15 minutes early, you will be able to easily access the chat and fellowship through the YouTube premier page both before and during the service. Find the premier page on our YouTube channel at: 11/22/20 Online Service.  The premiere page will be active from the moment the video is uploaded, so you can practice any time this weekend!
